Restaurant Konak Budva

Our restaurant critics team continues to expand the geography of studying places where it is possible to eat deliciously and comfortably. This time we reached the restaurant Konak, which is on the way from Budva to Cetina, surrounded by a whole placer of sites for the sale of cars and car dealerships. The restaurant is famous, it is an integral part of many tourist routes in Montenegro for far not the first year. Actually, it's not surprising, all the same, the institution and its surroundings are very picturesque, and the restaurant is located so that you can not pass by.

The first thing that we were met after we parked the car in a spacious parking lot were the trunks of two old guns, immediately reminding of the terrible military history of Montenegro. Having penetrated and inspired, we passed on, being in the courtyard in front of the restaurant building. The patio is beautiful. And, again, not without reference to history, this time - peaceful. Well, as peaceful, the old objects of everyday life, especially the sac and the frying pan, which not every grown man covers, unambiguously hinted, if not to become a heroic Montenegrins, then certainly for a heroic appetite. Overflowing with reverence and hope, we did not hesitate to go directly to the institution. By the way, there is a terrace near the yard for about 40 seats, but, as they say, it's not a month, and we are not tourists from Siberia.

The hall was very cozy, and, not unimportantly, with the operating fireplace. Not large in size, about 30 seats, but nice and also decorated with ancient objects of everyday life and weapons, hung on the walls. And, as it should be in the Orthodox culture, weapons are on the right, life is on the left. Actually, this historicity and authenticity predetermined our choice: two veal chorby, three lamb sachets (plus 1), two shop salads, a vegetable plate, green tea, coffee and two bottles of home red for five. Yes, it was a serious and numerous expedition for the beauty and delicious food.

Just note - claims for the quality of food is almost none, everything was delicious and satisfying. The devastation left after us on the table is quite comparable to the defeat of the French, sung in the poem of A.S. Pushkin "Bonaparte and Montenegrins" from the series "Songs of the Western Slavs", which one of the experts did not fail to read out. There are three remarks. The first: steeply salted chorba (we are quite, but someone may be too redundant). Second: comparing the volume of three Sachets served on one dish and separately ordered additional portion, we came to the conclusion that the dish was served a maximum of two servings, not three. Third: two bottles of wine differed dramatically in taste, the first was delicious, and the second - very tasty. What caused the difference in the third case, we do not know the version related to the fact that after the first we became kinder - were swept aside for failure. "Our professionalism is not to wash off one bottle of wine!" - said another expert (not the one that read AS Pushkin) at a collegial discussion of this phenomenon, and waved a glass of raki.

Service claims are not, the speed is average, as usual, the Russian language within the topic staff understands, serving is normal. Open wifi is quite fast and stable. The only disadvantage for comfort for non-smokers is a weak ventilation

At prices, the above feast body and, in some places, the spirit cost us for five at 65.5 euros. It is quite acceptable, in our opinion for a tourist destination restaurant.

Summing up, we put the following estimates for the Konak restaurant:

Quality of food - 4,7

The price is -4,6

Quality of Service -4.5

Convenience and comfort - 4,8

One of the closest places to the tourist capital for enjoying the beauty of the mountains of Montenegro!

With respect to you and your taste, Sergei Sychev
